to Gajum, CANZO

You can reach Gajum by car (following the road signs) but also on foot following the road to Canzo up to Trattoria Segrino. From here you go into the village up to the church of San Francesco in the historical center and then climb up to Gajum.

Climb to Prim’Alpe to see “The Spirit of the Forest”, fantastic figures beautifully carved in the trunk of the trees. From here you can continue to Terz’Alpe and have lunch at the farm (great!).

Path “of Spaccasassi”, geological path along the river Ravella that goes directly to the Terz’Alpe.

Geological path to the junction on the right to reach the Church of San Miro al Monte.

A very pleasant ring path is one that leads to Terz’Alpe by the Geological Trail (along the river), and returns through the Spirit of the Forest via Prim’Alpe.

The Spirit of the forest is really worthwhile both for adults and children!

From Terz’Alpe you can go:

For the Fork of Canzo Horns to admire the Lake Como from above.

For the Ferrata Canzo Horns only for experts!

For Sasso Malascarpa (area of great geological and paleontological interest), Mount Rai, S.E.C. hut and then to the summit of Mount Cornizzolo. The entire route offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, the small lakes, the Lake Como and even the Mount Rosa! From the summit of Mount Cornizzolo (mt 1241) you can go along the ridge path (above Lake Segrino), continue on the paved road always enjoying amazing views until Eupilio to return to the Guest House along the coast inside the Lake Segrino. Alternatively, from Mount Cornizzolo (from the S.E.C. hut) you can take the shortcut that goes directly to Gajum. The whole tour is about 5/6 hour walk.

You can reach the southern end of the lake to climb, on foot or by car, Mount Cornizzolo paved road to the first or second farm (in both you can taste specialties of the territory).

From the second farm you must walk the paved road or the paths to reach the summit with the cross of Mount Cornizzolo overlooking the smaller lakes of the Larian Triangle and all the crests of the lake and beyond!
From here you can also admire the paragliders in flight.
